# Ante Vaults

Self-custody crypto that reaches the people you choose

Ante Vaults is a self-custody vault for crypto that should outlive a lost key, a lost phone, or you. A vault is a [Safe](https://safe.global/) smart account you own. You name guardians (people you trust) and a recipient (who should receive the assets), and you check in on a schedule you choose. If you stop checking in, your guardians can start a handoff, and a grace period lets you cancel it if you are still here.

Guardians can only approve a transfer to the recipient you named. They cannot change where it goes. Ante never holds your keys or your funds.
